Why Community?
The discipleship philosophy of Intentional Gatherings stems from the Biblical example of “meeting in each others homes and holding all things in common.” At the very beginning of church life, Christians found encouragement, accountability, and growth in community that fully integrated with their everyday lives. Today, we believe this model still stands.
Supporting a People
Modern models for mission work send support to individuals who impact a community. I.G. has flipped this paradigm to support communities who impact individuals. Why?
We believe that the community support model helps:

- Limit Moral Failure of Leaders
- Maintain Sustainable Growth
- Promote Community Scalability
The Numbers
The I.G. Discipleship Community Housing Program supports pre-approved discipleship houses by contributing up to $250 to the community housing costs. Intentional Gatherings connects each of these houses with 5 or more donors who support the house vision. It’s that simple!
